Ms Azoulay’s visit to Ljubljana - Slovenia

Ms Audrey Azoulay visited Ljubljana on 3 July 2017 to present the strategic focuses of her candidacy for the post of UNESCO Director-General to the Slovenian authorities.

She also met Ms Maja Makovec Brenčič, Minister of Education, Science, Youth and Sports, Ms Darja Bavdaž Kuret, Minister of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Anton Peršak, Minister of Culture, as well as a variety of heritage experts. She visited the museum dedicated to the architect Jože Plečnik where she was met by the heads of committee responsible for the candidacy of Jože Plečnik’s works for the UNESCO world heritage list.

Ms Azoulay gave an interview to the Slovenian national newspaper, Delo, publishing 45,000 newspapers a day, and the second most read newspaper in Slovenia.
